North Penn Commons construction underway

Construction has started on the North Penn Commons, a partnership between four highly respected nonprofit organizations to create a vibrant public center in Lansdale dedicated to celebrating the dignity of every member of our community.
The Commons is located on the former site of LansBowl, now owned by the North Penn YMCA. The project will ultimately connect three agencies with the YMCA's existing building.
Once completed, the campus will be home to:
- Sixty affordable independent living units for seniors through Advanced Living Communities;
- A larger, upgraded space for Manna on Main Street to operate its soup kitchen, choice food pantry and the new North Penn Commons public café; and
- The PEAK Center, which offers programs to help older adults live independently and remain active.
The North Penn YMCA will also be upgraded and expanded to house a zero-entry family pool, a six-lane multi-purpose pool, new locker rooms, and modern program spaces.
